This is a classic Call of Cthulhu mystery about secrets, investigation, forbidden knowledge, and mounting dread. You’ll step into the shoes of ordinary people drawn into an extraordinary and deeply unsettling situation, where every clue brings you closer to something that should never have been disturbed.

Intro: When a respected professor from Miskatonic University requests your assistance in a matter of growing concern, your search for answers leads into the isolated backwoods of the Miskatonic Valley. Your investigation takes you into a region where strangers are met with wary eyes, old rumours linger beneath the surface, and every answer seems to raise new questions.

As the days grow shorter and the shadows deepen, you may discover that some secrets have remained hidden for a very good reason.

You do not need to know anything about Call of Cthulhu to enjoy this scenario. Bring a curious mind, a healthy fear of old secrets, and perhaps a willingness to open doors you probably shouldn’t.

NB: Call of Cthulhu draws on the literary legacy of H. P. Lovecraft, whose work helped define cosmic horror and had a major impact on horror fiction in general, but whose personal views included racism, xenophobia, and other harmful prejudices. Modern games inspired by the Mythos are enjoyed in spite of those beliefs, not in celebration of them.
